How to make a PDF from photos

  1. Select one or many images

    JPEG, PNG, WebP that the browser can decode. HEIC on Safari may fail until you export JPEG.

  2. Pick the sheet

    Default A4 with margins. Letter or fit-to-image, orientation, and JPEG print/lighter sit in the toolbar. Work stays in the tab.

  3. Download the PDF

    Print or attach the file. Reorder with Up/Down after you pick files.

Not Smallpdf, iLove, or Canva

Giants convert JPG to PDF by uploading the file. Smallpdf encrypts in transit and deletes after about an hour. CamScanner calls it cloud magic. Canva wants an account and a design board. Acrobat Online often wants an Adobe ID. Here the photo stays in the tab: pdf.js and pdf-lib.

No PDF/A here (that is ConvertAPI’s job, usually a server). A normal A4 PDF is enough for print and email.

Do I need an account?

No. Smallpdf’s free plan is 2 tasks/day (their support, 2026). Here the limit is the tab: about 20 images so a phone does not run out of RAM.

Can I drop many files at once?

Yes. Use the file picker with multiple selection or drop several images on the board.

Will they fill the whole A4?

Each image is scaled to fit inside the page with a margin, not stretched to crop faces.

What about HEIC from iPhone?

If the browser cannot decode HEIC, export JPEG in Photos first, then drop those files.

PDF from a document scan?

If you already have a multi-page PDF, use compress or n-up. This page starts from image files.
