Will I still be able to select text?
Usually no. Scan pages become JPEG images inside the new PDF.
Will selectable text survive?
This path is for photo-like pages. The result is images on PDF pages. Keep the original if you need a copy-paste text layer.
Why is my already-small PDF not much smaller?
Vector text and simple drawings do not behave like camera scans. JPEG helps most when pages are photographs of paper.
Is this the same as “print to PDF”?
No. Print-to-PDF often keeps resolution. Here we re-encode canvases with a quality cap so email and forms accept the file.
Do I need an account?
No. Choose a file, wait for the preview, download.
Can I use this on a phone?
Yes, in a mobile browser. Large multi-page scans may be slow; keep the tab open until download is enabled.
